Check out these peanut butter cakes :) i don't have a recipe for them as i never measure out the ingredients, just put three teaspoons of peanut butter into the mixture after stirring in the flour :)

Last night i wore my new dress to a pub crawl with my boyfriend and out friends Dan, Ben and Ali, its nice being the only girl because we can have a laugh and i don't feel self-conscious :) the trench coat is originally from Primark but i snagged it from Asos marketplace earlier on in the year, the brogues are about a year old and so comfortable!

I picked up this dress from Topshop today, needed cheering up as have had some job issues :(. I'm sure i'll bounce back but my confidence is at an all time low. I entered a poetry competition yesterday for the first time in a couple of months, will try and entre at least 3 a month from now on!

1940s
As it was Rememberence Day yesterday, I decided to dress in a 1940s style: seamed stockings, tea dress and a trench coat :) When i walked over to the boys house in the evening, my legs were frozen!

I bought the coat about 3 years ago in topshop, it was reduced from £60 to £20, it is a size too big but I love it.

Hastings
Myself and my boyfriend decided to take a drive to Hastings yesterday, I am a history nerd and was so excited to visit the place where Harold was hacked to death by Duke William on 14th October 1066. Unfortunately the castle ruins were off limits to the public but we were able to walk to grass which surrounds the ancient ruins, was very beautiful.
We also took a walk along the stony beach, i definitely want to go there for a holiday next year!

Jewellery by Jaymie
I purchased this chanel necklace from http://jewellerybyjaymie.bigcartel.com/ about a month ago for £13 (£1.50 p+p) and it is a wonderful item, very unique and makes an outfit look chic, instantly.
I definitely plan on purchasing more jewellery from this site!

Russell & Bromley
I have two pairs of second hand loafers by Russell & Bromley, both were purchased on ebay, this pair were about £18 and are a size 4.5 (i'm usually a 5) and they fit perfectly.
I haven't taken a picture of the other pair but they are a size 4 and they fit pretty well and were £30. I cannot wait to purchase a brand new pair, they are the most comfortable shoes and will not consider buying cheap shoes for a quick fix again

Primark/outfit post
Primark has recently come to Chelmsford, Essex... I have only purchased a pair of £2 black tights (worn once and stretched and out of shape already) and some £2 owl mittens (delightful) so far. Their clothes look pleasant but the biggest fear is washing them for the first time and opening the machine to find clothes that could fit my old barbie doll.
I had a bad experience with that infamous black peter pan collar dress from Topshop last year (they always pop up on ebay), i took the dress out of the washing machine and took out a blouse, when i tried to reshape the garment, a small hole appeared, needless to say, i was furious.
I now ensure that i take care of ALL of my clothes and no longer spend £50 on a Topshop dress.... I browse for hours on ebay instead!

A Mixture of thoughts
At the moment i'm reading Harold The King by Helen Holick, its very interesting as it is making me think about our current state as a country.
The Labour Government were far too soft on immigration etc, therefore we are a society full of foreigners who do not wish to learn the language but are quite happy to accept benefits as provided by the Government. Its sickening that Britain's work ethic has quite literally, disappeared. Polish workers are quite happy to work the minimum wage at 40 hours a week, has anyone realised this is why British citizens are not getting the jobs!
We have not been successfully invaded since 1066, we have so much history: The Battle of Bosworth, the collapse of the Catholic Church (Henry VIII), Shakespeare, The Restoration period, The Industrial Revolution, World Wars I & II etc... yet so many people are behaving in the most atrocious manner: one night stands resulting in STDs and unwanted pregnancies,.... it is like living in the 1040s when young girls DID have sex with older men because their families were poor and prostitution was not a crime. At this rate, Work Houses will be brought back into society as well as the first, middle and working class ranking.
The older I get, the more I hate the world.

brain overload
cannot keep up with this jigsaw
a glass of wine at my fingertips
fingers rapping at the keyboard
without notion
must keep focused on the task.
log onto facebook and look at friends old and new
judging whether or not to add them in case they reject you
not the end of the world
but hurts all the same.
wishing and waiting for the doorbell to ring
take me away from the hole that is life
sip the wine and gather thoughts
take a breath
and pause for thought.

new ring
Meh, could not find a satchel... got this ring in the sale in Topshop for £3.50 and got yet another pair of black tights =)
Summer fashion just isn't for me... could not find a single nice item of clothing in Pull & Bear, Forever 21... and Topshop, Zara, Oasis & Urban Outfitters are so pricey... will venture into town and have a look at the charity shops tomorrow.
Last night, myself and the boy watched Lord of the Rings: RotK, love it so much

Rainbow and new skirt
My new skirt arrived yesterday, i absolutely love it... the downside is that it is slightly too big around the waist, but its nothing a belt won't fix!
Myself and the boy are going to Westfields Stratford tomorrow, i'm planning on buying a brown/tan satchel that looks like the Alexa Mulberry as that is slightly out of my price range at the moment.
t-shirt - topshop, skirt - topshop (via ebay), tights - not sure & belt - ebay
This was taken from the boy's bedroom yesterday, the weather has been so strange lately... definitely does not feel like June!
